Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate (SIPX) is a widely used collector in the froth flotation process for the beneficiation of non-ferrous metallic ores. As a member of the xanthate family, it functions by selectively adsorbing onto the surfaces of sulfide minerals, making them hydrophobic.
