Product Introduction
Sodium Butyl Xanthate (SBX) is an efficient collector widely used in the froth flotation of sulfide minerals. This product belongs to the high activity collection agent in the xanthate series, known for its strong collection ability and rapid reaction. In the pulp, sodium butyl xanthate can be effectively adsorbed on the surface of sulfide minerals. By changing the hydrophobicity of the mineral surface, the target minerals can attach to bubbles and float with the foam, so as to achieve effective separation from gangue. It not only performs excellently in conventional mixed flotation processes, but also achieves preferential flotation separation of complex polymetallic ores such as copper, lead, and zinc under specific pH conditions with its selective advantages. Compared to ethyl or pentyl xanthate, sodium butyl xanthate achieves a good balance between capture performance and selectivity, making it an ideal choice for processing medium to fine-grained disseminated ores.
Product Advantage
Sodium butyl xanthate has the dual advantages of strong collection ability and good selectivity, and is particularly outstanding in the flotation process of sulfide ore. The dithiocarbonate groups in its molecular structure can form stable chemical adsorption with mineral surfaces such as chalcopyrite, sphalerite, and galena, significantly enhancing the hydrophobicity of minerals. Research has shown that within a wide pH range (pH 2-8), the recovery rate of this agent for molybdenite can reach over 70%, and it has a good separation effect from gangue minerals, which can effectively improve concentrate grade and metal recovery rate.
